Reuel Erickson

About Edit

Reuel Erickson (born July 14, 1979) is an Henderson, Nevada pro BMX rider, who was born in Red Bank, New Jersey United States. He first started riding BMX in 1993. Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. Able to lift crowds and fellow competitors off their feet with a single run. Someone put an ‘S’ on BMX rider Reuel Erickson’s chest. While dicey tricks and flairs are many riders’ kryptonite, this Dirt competitor makes them look easy. Reuel is best known for his superman decade, an impressive BMX trick where riders remove themselves completely from the bike mid-air, legs spread and arms outstretched, and rotates 360 degrees around the bike. Compounding his super-human reputation, Reuel is the first BMX rider to pull a double back flip on Dirt. Clearly, when it comes to mashing out hardcore runs, this rider never holds back. Erickson’s riding is not the only thing that likens him to Superman. He is extremely dedicated to helping others and takes part in numerous community projects. This past year Reuel spearheaded a Read-A-Thon for Las Vegas youth. The program not only encouraged the participants to read but also gave them the unique and exciting opportunity to ride with Pros. along with kid camps delivered through the local parks and recreation departments. Caring, conscientious, and considerable, Reuel Erickson is destined to amaze. ‘Look up in the sky. It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s Reuel Erickson…’

Reuel Erickson has always gone big. His first showing at the X-Games was in 1997. Reuel only 17 years old tried a double backflip. He is credited as the first to pull one on dirt, long before the stunt made waves at the 2001 X Games. He is well known for his tricks like Backflip No Handers, Decade, and Superman Decade. His sponsors include: Vans, Warpt, Pro-Tec, and DiamondBack.
